Thermo Auricular Therapy originated from the Hopi, the oldest Pueblo Indians who were the first settlers of North America.

Conditions where treatment may be useful: Excessive or compacted ear wax, Sinusitis, Rhinitis, Glue ear, Colds/Flu, Headaches, Migraines, Noises in the ear and Tinnitus.

Despite the name "candle" it is in fact a hollow tube made from organically grown linen, Beeswax, Honey, and a combination of herbs and oils. (For a complete list of ingredients see below). During the treatment known as Thermo-Auricular Therapy, the candles work by causing a light suction action (chimney effect), the movement of the flame creates a warm heat and vibration of the air in the ear canal, generating a massage-like effect on the ear drum. This induces a pleasant feeling of warmth and a balance of pressure in the ear, forehead and sinuses. It is soothing and helpful for Earache, Headache, Ear Noise, Stress, Nervousness, Sinusitis, Rhinitis Glue ear, Tinnitus, Snoring and excessive or compacted ear wax, (alternative to ear syringing and regulating ear pressure before flying).

Each candle is made using organically grown linen, which is blended with:

Honey extract, St Johns Wort, Chamomile Roman, Sage, Beta Carotene (Vitamin A)

This treatment is not suitable for anyone who has inflammation or ear infection perforated eardrums and grommet implants. If you are undergoing medical treatment, or there are doubts about your current state of health, you will be advised to consult your GP before receiving treatment.

Thermo Auricular therapy sessions usually last 60 minutes.

A course of treatments would usually be 3 sessions. However, the number of treatment sessions required will vary depending on the condition and symptoms being treated.

Your first session will be slightly longer than subsequent sessions due to a full medical history being taken.
